Primary School

The British School of Ulaanbaatar offers a rich and engaging education from Year One to Six. Our rigorous programme is based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales but has been enhanced with additional elements in order to reflect our international and Mongolian context.

Academic and Pastoral Excellence

Wherever possible and relevant, cross- curricular links are made to enhance and contextualise learning. Our team of teachers are both British trained and experienced, and each class is ably supported by a Teaching Assistant who speaks both English and Mongolian. Specialist teachers provide lessons in Mongolian language and culture, Chinese, Music and Physical Education. The broad curriculum gives the students a variety of opportunities to achieve their best as well as develop their individual talents.

ECA and Activities

Our extensive Extra-Curricular Activity programme provides students with activities as diverse as Origami, Coding or Swimming. Together with educational visits, academic competitions and sports fixtures, the British School of Ulaanbaatar encourages students to be responsible, confident and hardworking citizens who also develop the habit of life-long learning that will continue to grow as they move on into the Secondary School.
