The British School of Ulaanbaatar stood in solidarity at the annual Remembrance Day service organised by the British Embassy Ulaanbaatar at Choijin Lama Temple Museum, honouring the service of our Armed Forces in defending our freedoms. The student leadership team - Head Boy & Girl, plus House Captains, represented BSU, in attending the ceremony. A number of embassies and consulates were represented, and following the bugle call 'The Last Post,' wreaths were laid in order to pay respect to all those who have served in the defence of freedom around the world.
Also, on the school campus on Friday, staff and students observed two minutes of silence at 11am, to commemorate Remembrance Day. This act is to remember those who died in World War One and in other more recent conflicts. As a community, we remember them at this time of year because the fighting in World War One ended at 11 am on the 11th of November 1918.
