First aid knowledge can make a critical difference during emergencies. Quick and calm action helps prevent complications before professional medical help arrives. For minor cuts or wounds, gently clean the area with clean water and apply pressure to stop bleeding. Cover it with a sterile bandage to reduce infection risk. In case of burns, cool the affected area under running water for at least ten minutes and avoid applying ice directly.

If someone faints, lay them flat and elevate their legs slightly to improve blood flow. For choking, encourage coughing first; if ineffective, perform abdominal thrusts if trained. In suspected fractures, avoid moving the injured area and keep it supported until help arrives.
