🇬🇧 BSU Is Actively Implementing Green and Sustainable Economic Education
The British International School of Ulaanbaatar integrates education on climate change and sustainable development into its curriculum from primary level onwards. In addition, the school actively applies the concepts of green and sustainable economics in its daily school environment.
As part of this initiative, BSU successfully organized a comprehensive and structured training program in collaboration with the Green Finance Department of Trade and Development Bank. The program was designed specifically for school leadership, staff, and senior students.
In today’s session for senior students, participants were introduced to:
🟡The impacts of climate change
🟣Green skills and future career trends
🟡Green finance initiatives and ESG principles in Mongolia
🟣BSU’s practical journey toward becoming a “Green School”
These topics were presented in an integrated and practical manner.
Since 2021, BSU has developed its campus as a “living laboratory” through initiatives such as the Green Garden project, greenhouse farming, tree and flower planting, recycling practices, and active student participation in the Eco-Club. These efforts enable students to experience environmental education not only in theory but also through real-life practice.
Looking ahead, BSU aims to introduce renewable energy solutions, improve energy efficiency, enhance waste management systems, and make further progress toward international Eco-Schools / Green Flag standards.
